- 10x capacity: Many routes upgraded from 10 Gbps → 100 Gbps
- Global reach: Expanded from 8 → 18 locations
Why This Matters
Improvements in performance and latency at this layer expand the possibilities at the protocol and application layers. A faster Solana is more efficient and unlocks new use cases:
- Trading systems requiring nanosecond responsiveness
- Real-time applications that demand low-latency execution
- Higher complexity smart contracts that previously faced throughput limits
For AR, our involvement in DoubleZero is about supporting our shared vision to increase bandwidth and reduce latency, or IBRL. As one of the first external teams to connect to their network, we’re committed to strengthening core infrastructure, improving the network’s resilience, and supporting the performance needed for the next generation of applications on Solana.
